This Privacy Policy explains how FociiGames Inc. (“FociiGames”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information across our websites and games, including GladFights, ClanFights, DustClans, Hexball, and others (the “Services”). We collect the minimum needed to run the Services, keep them secure, and communicate with you.
1. Who is responsible
FociiGames Inc., based in British Columbia, Canada, is the organisation responsible for your personal information under this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact info@fociigames.com.
2. What we collect
- Account information — email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Gameplay data — your in-game progress, purchases of virtual items, settings, and in-game communications, as needed to run each game.
- Contact & marketing — email you submit for newsletters, playtests, or support, and the content of messages you send us.
- Technical & analytics data — pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and similar information collected through minimal analytics and server logs.
- Payment data — purchases are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We receive confirmation and records of a transaction but never see or store your full card number.
3. How we use it
- Operate, maintain, and improve our sites, games, and services.
- Process purchases and keep required financial records.
- Communicate updates, playtests, and announcements you have opted into.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal information on these bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request), legitimate interests (to secure, operate, and improve the Services), consent (for optional marketing and non-essential analytics, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (for example, tax and accounting records).
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards, such as hosting (our web host), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal), email delivery, and analytics. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our players, our Services, and FociiGames.
6. International transfers
We operate globally, and your information may be processed in Canada and in other countries where we or our providers operate. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then delete or anonymise it — except where we must retain certain records longer (for example, transaction records kept for tax and accounting purposes, or information retained to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These rights are provided under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA and BC’s PIPA, the EU/UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any right, email info@fociigames.com. You may also unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails, and disable cookies or analytics in your browser.
9. Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and minimal analytics that help us understand traffic and improve the Services. Non-essential analytics run only with your consent where required. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age set by local law), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
12. Changes & contact
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact info@fociigames.com. If you are in Canada you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and consumers in the EU/UK may contact their local data-protection authority.
